Pregnancy & Postnatal Care
to support you & your baby
Supportive massage for pregnancy, recovery, and early motherhood
Pregnancy and the postnatal period are times of profound physical and emotional change. At AB Massage Studio in Belfast, Christchurch, pregnancy and postnatal massage are offered in a private, nurturing space, with care that is gentle, respectful, and tailored to what your body needs at each stage.
These treatments are designed to support comfort, recovery, and nervous system regulation - helping you feel more at ease in your body during pregnancy and after birth.
Pregnancy Massage
Gentle, tailored massage to support comfort, rest, and changing bodies.
Pregnancy Massage is created specifically to support your body during pregnancy, offering comfort, rest, and gentle relief as your body changes. It can help ease common pregnancy discomforts such as back and hip tension, tired legs, swelling, and the heavy, achy feeling that can build up over time.
The massage is typically slow, calming, and grounding, supporting your nervous system and encouraging your body to rest. However, every session is tailored to you. Some pregnancies benefit from very gentle work, while others feel best with firmer, more focused massage in areas like the hips, shoulders, or lower back.
Pressure is always guided by your comfort, sensitivity, and health on the day, with clear communication throughout the session. When appropriate and if you’re comfortable, deeper work - including deep tissue techniques - can still be included where needed.
What to expect from your pregnancy massage
Your session takes place in a calm, unrushed, private Christchurch studio where you are supported to fully relax. Positioning, pressure, and techniques are adapted to your stage of pregnancy and how your body is feeling on the day. Comfort, safety, and open communication are always prioritised.
Postnatal / Mum & Baby Massage
Supportive care for recovery, rest, and time just for you.
This session is for you. After birth, your body is doing an incredible amount - healing, adjusting, carrying, feeding, rocking, and often functioning on very little sleep. It’s common to feel tight, sore, overstimulated, and in need of time where the focus is entirely on your own wellbeing.
Postnatal Massage is tailored to what your body needs most on the day, with extra attention given to areas that often feel overworked after birth, such as the neck, shoulders, upper back, hips, and lower back. The massage supports recovery, eases tension, and gently calms the nervous system.
You are very welcome to bring your baby along. Bub can remain in their carrier during the session, and everything is kept calm and flexible, with space to pause if needed.
What to expect from your postnatal session
Your session is held in a quiet, private Christchurch studio with a flexible, understanding approach. There is no pressure to “get through” the massage - your comfort, your baby’s needs, and your recovery come first.

Common areas include the neck, shoulders, upper back, hips, and lower back - places that often feel overworked from feeding, carrying, and daily care. The focus will always depend on how far postnatally you are, how your birth was (including caesarean birth), and how your body is feeling on the day. Positioning and techniques are adapted to support you comfortably, whether that means side-lying or other gentle adjustments.
